About

Hi there! My name is Elizabeth and I’m excited to get to know you!

I am a Fletcher Qualified Pilates Teacher and a novice equestrian. I love learning new things and making connections with new people.

A number of years ago I discovered that I love how it feels to move my body through Pilates. It rejuvenates me, it brings me inner calmness and happiness, and the movement helps me build confidence in myself and my body’s abilities. A thoughtful and focused Pilates practice challenges you physically and mentally, a unique combination that makes me eager to share it with the world.

More recently I have been lucky enough to discover the world of horsemanship. As an adult beginner, the body awareness I had thanks to my Pilates practice made horseback riding far more intuitive. The overlap between the Pilates principles and the subtleness of classical dressage work is powerful and was immediately apparent to me, so I’m thrilled to be able to teach Pilates to some really amazing equestrians.

I love getting to know my clients and helping them to achieve real change by understanding their connection between mind and body. I teach my clients to move better using a combination of centering, control, dynamic movement, breathwork and laughter. Through movement, they build strength, flexibility and confidence. Along the way, I cherish the strong connections and perspectives I gain by working with such a great variety of people.

In 2013 I completed the Fletcher Pilates Program of Study, a truly comprehensive program of more than 500 hours of training, observation, self-practice and casework. I hold a Women's Health and Exercise Certification, with an emphasis on pre- and post-natal Pilates, from The Center for Women's Fitness in Chicago, and I have completed more than 50 hours of movement and anatomy training with Movement Science Made Simple. In addition, I graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Organizational Communications from Xavier University. Let's go X!
